Cristian Lanfranchi (1972) is a self-taught artist based in Spain whose

obsession is to create unique unconventional artworks full of colour, textures and volumes through the transformation of discarded materials.
His professional career went from advertising to fashion, working for recognised international brands and residing in various countries in Europe and America.

His house/atelier in Alzira -Valencia- is also used for exhibitions of other local artists. Under the name of "galeria modesta", it has allowed creators from the area to carry out and document their first individual shows, projecting them to generate exchanges with official institutions. He is also the founder of the artist collective "Atelier Alzira' collaborating with the creation of the FIBERS exhibitions.
His work focuses on creating abstract interpretations of his experiences, through acrylic paintings, objects manipulated by reusing and mixing found elements, wall sculptures made with remains of painted and cut leather, and large-format works that combine discarded textiles with paint and collage.  He continues to experiment with various discarded materials, mainly from the fashion industry.
The objective is to use Artisanal Intelligence: to create sustainable works of contemporary art by reusing waste materials.
